Thankful
|The year is winding down and I’m thinking over it with such appreciation! I’ve had wonderful shows at Abbey Creek, Styring’s Carlton Cottage and Out Aza Blue Restaurant.
Currently you can find some of my work at two Forest Grove locations. At A Framer’s Touch you’ll find my boxed cards. They make great gifts. If you’re like me and find yourself at a loss for a well-worded birthday, anniversary or other event or holiday message to write in a card, go to www.greeting-card-messages.com. Problem solved! A Framer’s Touch also has my beaded Christmas ornaments for sale. I’ve produced these for years, but now as my eyes have reached that stage of almost-but-not-quite needing reading glasses, the bead work has become much more difficult. I don’t foresee doing many more of these in the future so if you want one, get it now!
Over at the Forest Grove Seniors and Community Center you’ll find my photography on wood framed ceramic tiles that work as a wall hanging, trivet, or as self-standing bit of art. They also have my homemade glycerine soaps for little stocking stuffer gifts. The soaps are lightly scented and in the shape of daisy flowers and presented in a pretty little drawstring mesh pouch. Two or three in a dish would be cute to offer in the guest bath. They’re great too for little kids who are better about any sort of hygiene if there’s an element of fun to it.
Yes, I’m looking back on the past year with appreciation for all of you who have followed my work, bought my work, complimented my work and those too who have criticized my work, prompting me to refine my work more and continue to improve at my skills. It does an artist’s heart good to know her work touches people and brings beauty to the lives of others. So thank you all so very much!
