paint, paint, paint, paint, paint, paint
|Sunday was the day Karen suggested tackling the living room. Yes, all along I looked around and thought, “Yellow?? Really???” but had relegated the color of the living room to the it-works-so-leave-it-be list. That’s probably why I felt such a sense of relief at Karen’s offer. Saturday afternoon I darted to Home Depot for the color paint I knew I wanted a few extra painting supplies and Sunday the fun began. Randy came along and screwed some sagging drywall back up to theĀ ceiling for us, then with Karen leading the charge, we set about wall washing, taping and all the other less satisfying parts of painting. The actual rolling on of the color was so very satisfying. It was more than a day’s worth of work, so Karen reappeared Monday to wrap things up.
Ah- it’s so good to enter that room and see fresh new paint. I chose a Valspar color called “Baking Stone.” I actually do own a pizza stone that color. It’s a warm, sandy shade. I like it!
