How many calories does concrete chucking burn?
At work we have a wellness program. Our employer gets better insurance rates for us by including health

educational information to us on a regular basis. This month we have a new program to get more active. It comes complete with a point system and little friendly competition. You get points for getting a fitness buddy; being active in certain activities with a plan to start small and work up; and planning a healthy meal plan.I obviously have no chance of scoring well in this competition. For points you get a workout buddy who agrees to work with you and you do things like regular walks, bike rides, dancing, aerobics, etc. I’m told I’m not allowed to count my contractor as my workout buddy, and the list is completely lacking for my present workout activities like 2×4 toting, building and carrying wood raised bed garden boxes, and concrete chunk chucking onto a trailer.

Maybe I should design an alternative fitness plan. It would include wood building projects, mowing, carrying 2x4s, cleaning out the shed, moving crushed rock across the yard one shovel at a time because the ground is too soft for a wheel barrow, pulling nails from boards and of course, concrete chucking.
Trust me, you’ll be in great shape by the time you’re done with my plan. Your fingernails won’t be pretty, but the rest of you will be doin’ just fine!
